Yonca Berk-Giray, Speech Language Pathologist at New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland, was selected by the VitalStim® Therapy Champion Program as the regional Clinical Specialist for all speech language pathology users of this treatment program. VitalStim® Therapy is designed to help patients with dysphagia (swallowing disorders).

Berk-Giray was identified by her peers, supervisors and her patients as being a highly qualified clinician experienced in dysphagia evaluation and treatment and VitalStim® Therapy. Berk-Giray has 15 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist and has been treating patients at New England Rehabilitation Hopsital's outpatient department for the past 3 years. She is certified in VitalStim® Therapy and Lee Silverman® Voice Therapy. She also has a special interest focus in brain injury and cognitive rehabilitation. Berk-Giray holds a Masters of Science Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Boston University.
